Fire

From All Out Hell Wiki

Fire Starting

Fires can be started by several methods, but the easiest is with a Gas Can and Lighter. Destroying installed Televisions or Generators can start a fire. If you kill a Pyro on the same tile as a building, it will set the building on fire. Some mechanical enemies set buildings on fire on death like Pyros do.

Fire Mechanics in Isolation

  • Fire gains HP based on its fuel level. If the building isn't ruined, it converts building HP into fire HP.
  • The fire will eat barricades, building HP (repair level), Generators and TVs in the area to fuel itself.
  • Rain lowers HP at the same rate it increases if the building isn't ruined.
  • Once the building is ruined, the fire loses HP every tick until it dies. Rain will make that faster.

Fire Mechanics Related to Players

  • Humans can use the Fight Fire (2 AP) command if they are carrying a loaded Fire Extinguisher. Each use of a Fire Extinguisher will reduce the fire level by 5.
  • Dropping items in an on fire building or using a Gas Can (1 AP) can increase the fire's HP. Dropped items cause a small increase, while Gas Cans cause a large increase.
  • You can still set up Generators or Televisions (5 AP) while building is on fire. Only humans can set up Generators and Televisions.
  • Giving items or exiting building does not decrease HP. Most other actions do have the chance to get hurt, even actions that do not require AP (e.g. reloading Fire Extinguishers with the Fast Hands skill).
  • Damages from fire apply after actions. Damages from fire are calculated before actions.
  • If players hide before buildings are on fire, hiding players will still be in hiding mode even if entire buildings are on fire.
  • Burning buildings can be seen if players are at outside of burning buildings.

Fire Mechanics Related to NPCs

  • When a Mantis Helicopter is destroyed, fire's level is increased by 7.
  • When a Pyro dies, fire's level is increased by 7.
  • Bug: When NPCs are killed on "outside only" tiles (ones without a building), those tiles can be set on fire.
  • Firefighters and Fire Trucks move towards fires on the map and attempt to put them out.
  • Firefighters have a 30% chance of reducing the fire level by 2.
  • Fire Trucks have a 15% chance of putting the fire completely out.
