Scope

This Policy is to outline the sort of information we collect, how it is used, and why it is collected whenever you access the All Out Hell (“The Service”) which is operated by (“we, “us”, “our”, “all out hell”). Where regional laws grant various rights and how those laws apply to players in those regions.

Information we collect

Character Details

1. Email Address. This is for the sole purpose of requesting a new password or contacting you when investigating abuse. We do not use it in any other capacity. You will not receive emails from us outside of these circumstances.
2. Password. This is ciphered (hashed) in a way that ensures your password cannot be easily retrieved. Nevertheless, it is recommended to use a separate password than you would use on other sites. Nobody on the staff will ever ask you for your password.
3. Username (Or character name). Used as an Identifier to let you log into the website
4. Any information you enter in “My Profile” such as “Real Name”, “Discord”, “Profile Picture” or various Character Descriptions. These are optional, publicly visible,and you do not need to enter them in order to play the game. You may also modify these things yourself at any time.
5. Network Info such as IP address. This is collected for Security, Fraud Prevention, Rate Limiting as well as banning rule breakers or limiting cheating.

In-game info

1. In game actions and in game location. This would mean each time you attack a player, use an item, heal yourself etc. This is only used to see if players are breaking rules or cheating. It is generally only checked if there is some suspicion of foul play or a report of foul play and not monitored on a routine basis.
2. In game chat. In game chat is stored for a limited period of time. We can see any chat that is visible to a player, though we make no guarantee that the chat is monitored at any given time.. If a player is inactive for an extended period of time, the chat log associated with their character will also be wiped (though their messages may still be visible in the logs of other players).
3. Word Filter. When anyone enters a word that triggers the word filter in game, we log who did it and when and what word it was.

How we use the info

1. As needed to operate the service and provide it
2. Maintain Security and Prevent abuses
3. Password Reset Requests or contacting when investigating in game abuse.
4. Comply with legal obligations
5. We do not build marketing profiles, nor do we use this info on other websites.

Staff Access

Access to player information is strictly controlled. Staff look up info only for the purpose of administering the game. Examples include (but are not limited to): Manual password reset requests, investigating in game actions that may be breaking rules, and fixing errors caused by bugs in the game code.

Sharing

1. With Service Providers such as hosting or email infrastructure, under agreements limiting their use.
2. When required by law to protect the service and its players
3. In the chance of a business transfer - any new owner will honor the protections similar in this policy.
4. No data is ever sold or shared with third parties.

Retention, Deletion

1. We retain personal data only as long as needed to operate and meet service requirements.
2. Upon valid deletion request, information may be erased.
3. We may retain some data needed to investigate foul play and misconduct, enforce rules or prevent banned users from returning.
4. Some game history remains in the form of in game actions or filter word tripping.
5. Some data may remain in backups until overwritten by routine rotation.

Security

We use various security measures to keep data secure, encryption and hashing for example. No system is ever perfectly secure, but we attempt to reduce risks.

Cookies and other technologies

We use cookies and essential technologies in order for the service to function. Cookies are used in two ways: For authentication to keep you signed in, and security in order to detect any malicious activities or some various violations of the terms of use.

International Use

It is possible that your data is processed in countries other than your own, as the server host is not likely to be in the same country as you. We apply this policy regardless of location. Your information for your account at the service is protected by data-protection laws applicable in the country that hosts us.

Your Rights

Age Restriction

This game is intended for people of 18 years or older. If we discover we have collected data from somebody under 18, we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may end up making changes to this policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after updates means you accept the revised terms.
